Bridal Party Makeup – Looks of Vanity w @LovelyLynnMua

I had a chance to work with @lovelylynnmua with www.LooksofVanity.com. This was my first time working with a team of artists, and it was really nice as learned Lynn’s technique while glamming the bridal party. It’s not everyday that an artist like Lynn will share her knowledge her knowledge with other artists like myself… Lynn is a super talent and an amazing business women!! This was a GREAT Experience!!

We had a typical early morning call time of 8am at the Westin at Bridge Street, makeup began as soon as the bridal party were ready. These are the ladies that I had the pleasure to glam.

Summer Bridal Makeup

Perfect Summer Bridal Makeup

Spring and Summer weddings are my absolute favorite! I love using colors but typically bridal makeup is kept more soft and neutral. This look is perfect for Spring and Summer weddings or any wedding honestly!!

I kept the highlighting contouring at a minimum as not to over power wedding photos… cause no one wants heavy lines on their faces making them look silly in their photos.

Though the foundation is full coverage, you can still see skin giving it a more natural look.

The eyes are a combination of drama and glam paired with a nude lip. The neutral eye gives the bride room to  play with color on the lips… almost any lip can be used with this look.

Be sure to watch my Youtube tutorial of this look. Dont forget to subscribe!

Products used:

Foundation: Covergirl Queen Collection “Almond Glow”

Bonzer and Blush: Covergirl Queen Collection “Ebony Bronze”

Highlighter: Elf Cosmetics “Sun kissed” bronzer

Lips: Ruby Kisses “Brown Spice” & Iman Cosmetics “Iman Nude”

Finish the look by using a long lasting finishing spray.

Though the color range is a bit modest, I absolutely the love the. They are the perfect compliment to any makeup look.

These are aslo very much loved by brides!

Tips For Brides : Wedding Season

Being that wedding season is upon us, I thought that I would share a few tips with brides when choosing a makeup artist for the “Big Day”.

There are so many “makeup artists” around, so you have to be very selective when it comes to choosing a MUA for your wedding. Now that social media has become the place for everyone to advertise their services, take the time to research and look at the potential MUA’s body of work. Nowadays, all reputable and creditable MUAs are on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook and so on… Mesha MUA

Look at their work, determine who would be the best fit for your needs. Once you have narrowed your search, contact them to see what their rates are and schedule a bridal trial. A Bridal Trial is a test session where the MUA get to showcase their talent with you. Bridal Trials, mind you, are not Free and no one should assume that they are. I highly suggest a trial run, but if you are totally comfortable and familiar with the MUAs work, then you do omit the trial run.

I suggest bridal trials, because they give you an idea as to what to expect from your MUA and you get a peek into how you are going to look on your wedding day. Too, this gives you a chance to perfect your look with your MUA.  And too, I feel like the trial session gives you a chance to see if you vibe with the MUA, you do not want to feel uncomfortable with your MUA.

I would suggest making a selection and booking your MUA at least 3-6 months prior to your wedding day, this gives the MUA ample time to prepare, especially if you have a larger bridal party.
