I voted!

Today is the official election day! I hope that everyone has set aside the time today to go cast their votes!

I made it my top priority to be in line before the polls opened (as so did 100s of others). At my polling location, the doors opened at 7 a.m.. I live so close that I cold have walked (but I’d never). I arrived at 6:42am only to be met by a massive line of others. Though I wasn’t surprised at all. This is said to be on the biggest elections ever as far as the numbers of voters that are expected to show up!

Nonetheless, I proudly made my way to the back of the line and patiently waited as the line moved rather quickly as voters begin to go into the facility. It was literally like a well oiled machine! It was very pleasant… there’s nothing to be afraid of, and no reason to feel intimidated.

HOW DO YOU VOTE:

You will be given a ballot to complete.

You have the option to vote : “Straight Democratic” or “Straight Republican” this eliminates having to bubble in each name for the different positions.

But if you have specific preferences then you will want to read carefully as you make your selections which is very easy too.

Make certain that you are filling/bubbling with in the selection nice and dark so that the electronic ballot casting machine can properly record your selections without error.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Know your polling location!! click here to find it!

Make sure you have your Photo ID. You CAN NOT VOTE without it!!

In order to remain safe and or free from exposure to Covid-19, make sure you wear your face mask/covering. If you do not have one, one will be provided.

Be sure to have sanitizer handy, though your hands will be sprayed with hand sanitizer mist upon entering the facility.

Bring your own pen or pencil. But should you forget, one will be provided.

Voting is easy!! So please make it your priority to make it to the polls be they close. Polls will close at 7pm CST here in Alabama. Regardless of the party you support, please participate in this year’s democratic process! VOTE!!
